I grew up on a Ranch in South Texas on a working Cattle Ranch. My Dad, Mom, sister, and brother enjoyed riding horses and the great outdoors. My love of animals and gardening came from growing up on the ranch. Reba McEntire, Dr. Pepper, great food, music, and friends are essential additions to my life. After high school I received an Undergrad Degree in Health Education. If I had not entered seminary, I believe I would have went after a career in Public Health. It was while at The University of Houston that I learned my passion for people, and serving the people of God within ministry in the Church.
I spent my two pre-theology years of Study at Holy Trinity Seminary in in Dallas, Texas. I then came back to Houston and spent five years of Study at St. Mary's Seminary. While my studies were moving forward at St. Mary's in a Masters in Divinity, I also worked on a second Masters in Spirituality and a Certificate in Directed Retreats. My pastoral year was spent at St. Bernadettes Catholic Church in Clearlake and my Deacon year was spent at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Deer Park. I was ordained to the Priesthood June 2, 2012. My first assignment as a Priest was at Christ The Redeemer (CTR) in Cypress for three years and my second assignment was at Holy Family Parish in Galveston for Three years.
I then was assigned here at Holy Rosary Catholic Parish in Rosenberg. I am never bored and super honored to serve Holy Rosary, Holy Rosary Catholic School, St. Wenceslaus Mission, and our Cemetery. I look forward to walking the journey forward as our parish grows in number and excitement for the faith. I am so excited that our great School is growing and becoming once again a leader in education in the Fort Bend Area.
I also have the privilege to be the Ecumenical and Interreligious Officer for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. I am so happy to work with volunteers across our Archdiocese to promote unity amongst all religions. We work to promote prayer, dialogue, and to work together for the common good of all.
